Touhida Shiropa of ‘Moner Bondhu’ placed in the list of Vogue Business 100 innovators

Touhida Shiropa, the founder of Moner Bondhu, has been placed in the list of 100 world-renowned innovators with mental healthcare in the app. In this list, she has been named as 'Sustainability Thought Leader' by the internationally renowned Vogue magazine.

'The Vogue Business 100 Innovators' is published every year with the top 100 individuals from different countries around the world contributing to the sustainability of the fashion industry. And Touhida Shiropa won this title by providing mental health services to the workers of the country's garment industry sector.

Such success made Shiropa more confident. 'It is definitely a great honor for me to be included in the list of Vogue Business 100 Innovators. It is great to represent the name, soulmate and startup of Bangladesh. I think that recognition of the significant change that Moner Bondhu has created in Bangladesh's garment industry will accelerate that change', said Shiropa.

Moner Bondhu has been working in Bangladesh since 2016 on mental health and healthcare. Anyone can avail this service online and offline. 

The 'Act Covid-19' Online Hackathon was organized in 2020 under the initiative of the 'Call for Nation' platform of the Information and Communication Technology Division of the Government. The winner in the mental health category was Moner BondhuMoner Bondhu won this hackathon with the idea of ​​creating a mobile application (app) for mental health.

It may be noted that, Bangladesh Apparel Exchange founder and CEO Mostafiz Uddin has also been listed in the Vogue Business 100 Innovators 2023 as an honorable 'Sustainability Thought Leader'.

"The annual 'Vogue Business 100 Innovators 2023' list names leaders, founders and activists who have made outstanding contributions to making the fashion industry more sustainable and beautiful," Vogue said in a statement releasing the list.

This year the 'Vogue Business 100 Innovators' have been categorized into 5 categories. They are - 'Tech and Web3 Innovators', 'Sustainability Thought Leaders', 'Next-Gen Entrepreneurs and Agitators', 'Beauty Disruptors' and 'Champions of Change'.
